Who Inspired Kindness Worldwide
This was the day we picked Theo up from Joliet Animal Control. He had reportedly been found in a Walmart parking lot and brought to Animal Control. We later found that his owner actually brought him in. He didn't have a name, had very large masses on his testicles, tail and oozing sores on his paws. He looked sad, defeated and honestly, we were astounded by his medical condition.
After a visit to the Oncologist and hearing the extent of Theo's medical condition (advanced testicular cancer, metastasis to the Prostate along with nodules throughout his abdomen). Theo didn't seem to know he was sick and he was finding joy and happiness in the simplest things. We decided to make up for whatever he had missed in his previous life and pursue 'bucket list adventures'
It started off as a post on Facebook looking for suggestions for Theo's Bucket List. A short list was developed and we kicked it off with #1: Eat Ice Cream. Then, Theo's story was picked up by Brad Edwards, a Journalist with CBS 2 Chicago and Theo became a viral sensation. People all over the world sent bucket list suggestions, card and e

Then, Theo's story was picked up by Brad Edwards, a Journalist with CBS 2 Chicago and Theo became a viral sensation. People all over the world sent bucket list suggestions, card and emails The common theme among them...they were moved to kindness.
After picking up Theo from Animal Control he was in desperate need of a bath. We took him to Pet Supplies Plus for the bath and to get a collar and ID tag (we knew he was here to stay). Theo's story became that of a dog who moved people to acts of kindness, compassion, generosity and the willingness to open their hearts even though it was going to hurt in the end. Through his bucket list adventures, people celebrated his pure joy in simple things like ice cream, puppies and ear rubs and found ways to be part of future adventures.

Well….Theo’s Bucket List Adventure #63 officially just happened
✅Have my octopus toy officially brought back for sale at Pet Supplies Plus and named… Theo’s Octopus
After finding out from our dear friend Laura about Theo’s octopus love story, the amazing team of Emily and Sarah at Pet Supplies Plus sprung into action in December 2020 and scoured every PSP store in the US to bring all remaining inventory of 28 blue octopuses home to Theo. Sadly, Theo passed away a week after receiving this special gift. We then decided to share the love of the blue octopus by gifting them to Live Like Roo Foundation to be included in care packages for dogs fighting cancer.
Fast forward to 2021 and the idea of Bucket List Adventure #63. The Pet Supplies Plus team felt that a toy that was so special to Theo needed to be shared again. Typically seasonal toys come out once and when the supply is out, they don’t return for sale. This summer production began on our familiar blue friend and shipping to the PSP distribution center happened a few weeks ago. Theo’s Octopus is officially available in limited quantities on the Pet Supplies Plus website along with a description of Theo’s legacy
